My experience with Dr. Trish has literally been life changing. I started my journey with Dr. Trish in July 2022 and as of October 2023 I have been able to lose and keep off over 25lbs.
I was referred to Dr. Talerico for Nutrition by a family member. She did not disappoint. She is so very nice, extremely knowledgeable and ge uinely cared about what was going to work for my body and help me reach my goals. She listened to my concerns, and did not give unrealistic expectations or quick fixes.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Talerico (Trish) for almost 15 years and I have been her client twice. Once -when I was in college (to maintain weight while away at school) and – most recently – after deciding it was time to get back on track after losing my commitment to nutrition. Every time I’ve worked with her, there’s been a success story tied to the journey. Dr. Trish is the ultimate professional and her kindness and love for her profession radiates the room.
In January of 2018, I had my annual physical and my blood work showed my red and white blood cells and iron were low. This was something that alarmed me. Over several months and several different tests taken that showed nothing abnormal, my blood work went back into normal range. However, something was off. I guess you could say my “check engine light” was still coming on. So in October, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Trish for her nutritional guidance and expertise.
I can’t say enough to sufficiently praise Dr. Trish and her knowledge of nutrition! She gave me the tools to “fix” my body. I had reached a point in my life where dieting wasn’t working. Not only was I overweight, I wasn’t feeling well. I was tired and I had typical body aches, etc. I needed someone with Dr. Trish’s knowledge, tools and experience to teach me what I was doing wrong. Thirty days in, bloodwork and vitamins, a detox and a total habit and way of life transformation and the scale keeps ticking down.
As I look back at six months ago I can see a downward spiral in my eating habits. My emotions felt off and I didn’t feel good about myself physically. Maybe it was winter blues or still feeling the loss of our friend Brenda. My energy level was low and I could feel myself more irritable and unfocused. Realizing I needed a change and help, I felt I could reach out to you. Knowing you through the years, I knew you could help me.
The program is easy and Dr. Talerico is always available if you are not sure of something. I lost 7lbs. in 10-days. I was never tired or hungry. I am still feeling the benefits and I continue to lose weight. I want you to try this program I want all my family to try the program and my
clients. Thank you Dr. Talerico
I have been a chiropractic patient of Dr. Trish for many years. Over this time I had often spoken to her about her nutrition practice. I, like most people, needed/wanted to lose some weight. I have tried many diets and programs over the years, Weight Watchers, Scarsdale Diet, Paleo Diet, along with numerous other fad diets, the weight would come off but inevitably the pounds came back.
Through Dr. Trish’s detailed blood work, detox, supplements and The Diet Cure book, I have experienced a life change. Specifically, the blood work uncovered a condition that I needed to watch. As a result, I have become gluten free and caffeine free, and have maintained daily exercise. Since treating with Dr. Trish, I have lost 25 pounds and I hope to continue to lose even more! I want to thank Dr. Trish who has been an outstanding health coach and mentor as well as Karen who was always helpful!
With Dr. Trish’s guidance, knowledge and approach to nutrition I’m in the best health and BEST shape of my life. I really can’t say enough amazing things about what Dr. Trish has done for me and for my friends and clients who have also benefited from her program.
Since I have met with Dr. Talerico, she has worked with me in every way that she could. She has talked to me about what is going on, asked me questions to follow up on certain things, changed things around to continue to make me feel better, and has been so supportive through it all. I have never felt more comfortable, content, satisfied, and happy with seeing a doctor more than I am now. Although it took me several years to figure it all out, and to find the right doctor, I have now. Because of Dr. Talerico my life has changed and I now have an idea of what I need to do moving forward.
I love working with Dr. Trish. She is truly concerned with changing the life of her patients for the better. I know she definitely changed mine and I am grateful. I am 52 years old and I want to continue a long, healthy life and with the continued help of Dr. Trish and my determination I will remain healthy.
I’m writing to thank you for recommending the Paleo cleanse to help kick start my weight loss. I have tried every diet imaginable with limited success. I was starting to give up and felt I would be overweight forever. I carry my weight around the middle and so always had trouble getting pants to fit comfortably. Your body fat analysis was very telling and showed how unhealthy I really was. This cleanse gave me immediate results which kept me motivated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Learn How it Works!
Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications for weight loss?
No, I do not prescribe GLP-1 medications as I am not a medical doctor. I am a Chiropractor and Clinical Nutritionist. However, I do have several clients who currently use those medications and I design their programs to help maximize their results.
What is the difference between a Dietician and a Clinical Nutritionist?
A dietician, also known as a registered dietitian (RD)is a food and nutrition expert who provides guidance and counseling to help individuals achieve their health goals through nutrition. A clinical nutritionist, on the other hand, focuses on designing and implementing specific nutrition plans to improve or maintain patients’ health. Of course, there can be a lot of overlap here depending on the background and training of each provider. Their educational backgrounds may also be different. Each will be required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition or a related health field and can then specialize in a specific area of nutrition. In my case, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a Doctorate in Chiropractic and then a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition.
Do you provide meal plans for your clients?
I provide a generalized meal plan which includes all three macronutrients and then we can modify the meal plans for each individual, for example gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, etc.
Do you do bloodwork in your office?
I currently do not draw blood in my office. I do write LabCorp or Quest bloodwork scripts for my clients or review labs that they had done at their medical doctor’s office. I also have clients do some Functional Medicine testing to look at food sensitivities, gut inflammation, candida overgrowth and intestinal permeability or leaky gut.
If I am currently taking prescription medication, can you help me to get off those medications?
Since I am not the doctor who prescribed those medications, I cannot counsel you to discontinue them. My goal is to help you get to a state of health that allows your body to heal and then, with the help of your medical doctor, wean you off those medications if possible.
Do you prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for perimenopause or menopausal symptoms?
Since I am not a medical doctor, I cannot prescribe HRT for women. However, I strongly believe in women using bio-identical or body identical hormone replacement therapy to support our brain, bones and heart during our menopausal years. I have several natural products and protocols that can help manage symptoms with or without HRT. I also have several doctors to whom I can refer my clients for HRT.
