Holistic Weight Management
Understanding Your Needs
Weight loss can be an overwhelming task especially when coupled with managing another chronic disease or a busy work/home life. Setting realistic weight loss goals along with a specific and sustainable program is the key to being successful. We don’t put people on “diets” because the reality is, diets don’t work. We look at food allergies, food sensitivities, medical history, gut issues, overall lifestyle and food preferences. Weight loss, weight gain or even weight maintenance takes patience, consistency and knowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Learn How it Works!
Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications for weight loss?
No, I do not prescribe GLP-1 medications as I am not a medical doctor. I am a Chiropractor and Clinical Nutritionist. However, I do have several clients who currently use those medications and I design their programs to help maximize their results.
What is the difference between a Dietician and a Clinical Nutritionist?
A dietician, also known as a registered dietitian (RD)is a food and nutrition expert who provides guidance and counseling to help individuals achieve their health goals through nutrition. A clinical nutritionist, on the other hand, focuses on designing and implementing specific nutrition plans to improve or maintain patients’ health. Of course, there can be a lot of overlap here depending on the background and training of each provider. Their educational backgrounds may also be different. Each will be required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition or a related health field and can then specialize in a specific area of nutrition. In my case, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a Doctorate in Chiropractic and then a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition.
Do you provide meal plans for your clients?
I provide a generalized meal plan which includes all three macronutrients and then we can modify the meal plans for each individual, for example gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, etc.
Do you do bloodwork in your office?
I currently do not draw blood in my office. I do write LabCorp or Quest bloodwork scripts for my clients or review labs that they had done at their medical doctor’s office. I also have clients do some Functional Medicine testing to look at food sensitivities, gut inflammation, candida overgrowth and intestinal permeability or leaky gut.
If I am currently taking prescription medication, can you help me to get off those medications?
Since I am not the doctor who prescribed those medications, I cannot counsel you to discontinue them. My goal is to help you get to a state of health that allows your body to heal and then, with the help of your medical doctor, wean you off those medications if possible.
Do you prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for perimenopause or menopausal symptoms?
Since I am not a medical doctor, I cannot prescribe HRT for women. However, I strongly believe in women using bio-identical or body identical hormone replacement therapy to support our brain, bones and heart during our menopausal years. I have several natural products and protocols that can help manage symptoms with or without HRT. I also have several doctors to whom I can refer my clients for HRT.
